So you’ve got a truck and you need a way to protect your cargo that you have stored in the truck bed, but you don’t want to buy one of those ugly toppers. What do you do? Well, there are two fantastic options that not only look great but protect your truck bed and what you’re carrying: a tonneau cover and bedliner.
You’ve probably heard the commercials about these products. Line-X, for example, has a great spray-in bedliner that will prevent your truck bed from getting scratched up and dented while Truxedo will keep your cargo covered.
I’m a big fan of these two types of product. I have a Truxedo soft tonneau cover on my truck and it is just a fantastic piece of equipment. It’s just like putting a leather cover over your truck bed that locks in place and rolls up for the times when you need an open bed. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had cargo that I didn’t want to get wet or that I didn’t want to blow out the back bedliner.
Bed liners are great too! I don’t have one in my truck yet but it’s on my list. I’ve seen them in other trucks too and I don’t see a disadvantage to having one. The spray-in bed liner that I’ve seen looks great, works great, and keeps your cargo from moving around and damaging your truck bed. You can haul whatever you like and when you’re done it’ll look just the same as when you started.
If you’re looking for a truck, or looking to sell your truck, these two accessories are a great addition to any truck. Go ahead, get one put on your truck, or go get a truck that has them! You definitely won’t regret that decision.
